Myers Furnace Supply Co was founded by W.V. "Dutch" Myers and his younger brother, Glenn R. Myers, Sr. both were natives of Martins Ferry, Ohio. Dutch operated his own retail heating business in that area in the early in the early in the early 1930's, and then he was employed as a Sales Engineer by two different furnace manufacturers. Glenn worked both in the residential heating business and in the Sheet Metal Department of the Charleston SC Naval Shipyard. At the end of World War II, Dutch invited Gglenn to join him in starting a new company. Myers Furnace Supply CO. opened for business in April 1946 at 1407 Swissvale Ave in Wilkinsburg, an eastern suburb of Pittsburgh.

Originally the company sold only warm air heating equipment, but as those manufacturers began to supply air conditioning, so did Myers. In addition, since many warm air heating contractors also installed boilers, we began to slowly add hydronic heating equipment to our inventory. We became a WEIL MCLAIN distributor in February 1962.

On the night of May 8-9, 1972 a fire of undetermined origin destroyed the old multi-storied warehouse in Wilkinsburgh. For the next eight months the company operated out of three additional temporary facilities. In January 1973, we moved to our present location in Duquesne.

From our present warehouse's in Duquesne, and Cranberry, we service thirty seven counties in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and eastern Ohio. Along with WEIL MCLAIN, another of our major line has been AMERICAN-STANDARD HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING. In addition, we carry a complete stock of heating and air conditioning supplies from such additional manufacturers as Unico, Lima, Metalbestos, Bell & Gossett, Hoffman, McDonnell& Miller, Modine, Beacon Morris, Sterling and Grundfos to name a few. Anumber of these are sold through a sister company, Myers Distributing Co, which was founded in 1952. In 1998 Myers Furnace Supply, and Myers distributing company, were formed into J.B. Myers Group.
